Manage Sports Directors and Commissioners

The Manage Sports Directors screen allows you to grant sports management permission to individuals in your organization, allowing them to perform many of the athletic director functions. You have complete control over the administrative features and the specific sports that are available to each Sports Director (We use the terms Sports Director and Commissioner interchangeably). 

At this time, there are two admin features that you cannot grant access to. As Athletic Director or Community Administrator, you will need to perform these functions:

• Online registration setup - the ability to create and deploy an online sports registration.
• Sports Season Setup - the ability to create sports specific to your school community.

To grant sport based administrative permissions to individuals in your organization. 

• Click Sports Management on your admin home page
• Click Manage Sports Directors

Click Add a Sports Director to grant permissions to a new Sports Director/Commissioner.

First, select one or more sports. These represent the sports that you are granting admin permissions to.

Next, select the people you want to grant permissions. The window will have 1 or 2 tabs that allow you to select individuals in your organization.

Lookup Registered Members

This tab is displayed if your organization uses Member Registration to allow members to register for roles (such as Sports Director).

1. Select the member registration you want to select members from
2. Click the check box next to each registered member you want to grant permissions
3. Click Add Selected Members

Search Member Database

This feature allows you to select one or more individuals who have existing records in you member database. If the individual you want to add is new to your community, you will need to add them first. Click here to learn how.

1. Enter a last name and click Search to locate individuals with records in your member database.
2. Click the check box next to each registered member you want to grant permissions
3. Click Add Members

Defining Permissions

Once you have added a Sports Director they will appear in a table with a list of permissions. To assign a permission, simply click the check box for that permission. See the table of permissions below for more information.

Click the remove link to remove the Sports Director permissions for an individual / sport.

Permission Definitions

Manage Teams Mange teams for sports assigned to the Sports Director Create, update, and archive teams Access registration submissions for rostering Manage players, coaches, and parents Admin access to team groups (messaging, calendars, files) Access to Send Messages	Submit Teams Register teams with a league Applies to league affiliated schools when the league requires team registration Access is restricted to teams in sports assigned to the Sports Director	View Reg Sub View access to online registration submissions Grants access to Registration Submission Management Access is restricted to registrations that include sports assigned to the Sports Director If multi-sport registration, the Sports Director will have visibility of all submissions regardless of sport
