There are a number of things that can affect Doodlio push notifications. Frequently, cell phone coverage will delay or prevent the receipt of messages. In this case, you may notice that you receive messages when in one location but not another, or suddenly receive a group of notifications when you change locations.
However, there are other factors that can prevent delivery of notifications. Here are some things that you can try that will resolve the most common problems with notifications. If you still have problems receiving notifications, contact us at support@doodlio.com.
1. Check the app notification permission on your phone.
Doodlio must have permission on your device in order to display push notifications. You can verify the permissions on your phone by following these steps:
iOS
- Click the settings icon on your phone
- Scroll down until you see the Doodlio app and click on it
- Click Notifications
- Select Allow Notifications
- You can select more refined settings on this screen
- Push notifications are now enabled for the Doodlio app
Android
- Click the settings icon on your phone
- Click on the More tab (the last tab on the upper right side of the screen)
- Click Application Manager
- Scroll down until you see the Doodlio app and click on it
- Select Show Notifications (so that a green check mark appears) if not already selected
- Push notifications are not enabled for the Doodlio app
2. Check the notifications settings for the Doodlio group for which you want to receive notifications
- In the Doodlio app, click on the group name in the left menu
- Once the group has loaded, click the group details icon (three dots in a circle) on the upper right side of the screen
- Click Notification Settings
- Select Mobile App Notification
- Push notifications are now enabled for this Doodlio group
