The focus of Release 1.2 is improved quality of communications. To that end, we have introduced support for email and text message delivery of certain messages. You will need to download version 1.2 of the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to be able to use the new features.
Email delivery of messages and notifications
You can now opt to have emails delivered to you when your group receives new messages or new events are added to the calendar. See the following for more information:
How to enable email delivery in the mobile app

SMS text message delivery of game changes and alerts
You can also choose to have important and potentially time critical messages delivered to your phone via text messages. Currently, there are two categories of messages that can be delivered via text message:
Game Changes - including new games added to your team's schedule, game changes, and cancellations
Alerts - urgent communications sent by community or sports league administrators for events such as school closings and bulk game cancellations due to inclement weather
Note that league administrators may choose to communicate game cancellations via alerts, so we recommend that participants in sports leagues enable text message notifications.

Other Important Changes
This release includes a critical fix for a bug that prevented calendar sync from adding some games to the user's device calendar.
Unread message badges now display on the Doodlio app icon on the iPhone. Badges are shown as a number in a red circle overlaid on the app icon and display the number of new, unread messages in your Doodlio groups. Support for Android badges will be added in a later release.
