A merchant account is special type of account that allows you to accept credit and debit card payments. In simple terms, a merchant account connects the credit card payment network to your existing bank account so the payments you receive can be automatically deposited into your account. Accounts are free and there are no long term contracts.
Merchant accounts and online payment processing are securely and reliably provided by FIS / Payrix.

- Payrix, a division of FIS, provides the secure technology used to submit payments to the FIS Worldpay network.
- Merchant account application information is securely transmitted directly to and is processed by FIS / Payrix.
How Do I Sign Up for a Merchant Account?
It generally takes less than 15 minutes to complete the application. The instructions below will answer questions that typically arise when completing the form, so take a minute to review them and then click the link below to access the online form.

Accounts are often approved within 24 hours, but the process may take up to 7 business days. When your merchant account is setup, we'll get in touch to let you know you're ready to begin accepting online payments.
Instructions for Completing the Merchant Account Application
Most input fields on the form are straightforward questions about your organization. Guidance is provided below for some fields that may not be obvious. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). If you have any questions about completing the form, contact support@doodlio.com.
The submitter should have access to your organization's bank account information in order to enable automatic daily transfers from your merchant account to your bank account.
Business
On the Business tab, complete the information in each of the sections. Click on a section (e.g. Business Details) to display the input fields for that section.
Business Overview
Business Type
Select a business type based on your form of business. For example, churches and schools will typically be organized as NonProfit.
DBA Statement Descriptor
Input your organization's name as you would like it to appear on your customer's credit card statement. Be sure to enter a name that your customers will recognize to eliminate questions or confusion about charges that appear on their statements.
Industry
If you are submitting an application for a sports league, select Membership Clubs (Sports, Recreation, Athletic). Otherwise, select the most applicable option.
How Does the Business Primarily Take Payments?
Most organizations will select "Customer Enters Payment Online".
Business Details
What does your business process payments for, and how are goods sold?
Describe the purpose of the payments you will receive. For example, online sports registrations.
Principals
Principal Information / Owner Information
If your organization is a nonprofit
Because non-profit organizations do not have owners, list information for yourself as someone who has significant responsibility in the organization.
Select Yes for Significant Responsibility at the bottom of the Owner Information section.
If you are completing this application as a for profit organization, follow the instructions that appear at the top of the page to include information about the owner(s) of the entity.
Note that a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you enter. You will need to click on the confirmation link in that email to complete the setup of your account.
Social Security Number and Address
Enter your SSN in the Principal Information or Owner Information section, and your personal address in the fields at the bottom of the page.
This information is collected to comply U.S. with regulatory requirements (FinCEN) and to help protect your account from unauthorized access or use.
FIS / Payrix takes the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously. They use industry-standard security measures to protect your information and comply with all applicable data protection laws and regulations. This information is not used for any other purpose and will not be shared with third-parties. Doodlio does not have access to your SSN.
Account
You will setup an online account with the payment processor. Select a username and password to use for your account.
Address
Enter your personal address in these fields.
Bank
Bank information is required to enable automatic transfer of proceeds from your merchant account to your existing bank account.
There are two ways to add your bank account information, Link Existing Bank Account and Enter Bank Info Manually. The first option is faster to complete and can result in faster account approval times.
Link Existing Bank Account
This option uses Plaid to verify your bank account. Plaid is used by thousands of banks to securely verify bank account ownership.
When you select this option, a Plaid window will appear that will guide you through the process of entering your online bank account information to verify your account. Plaid will not share your credentials with Doodlio or anyone else. If your bank does not appear in the list of banks in the Plaid community, you will need to follow the steps below for Manual Entry instead.
Enter Bank Info Manually
Manual entry of your bank account information will take longer than Plaid and may require you to submit documentation verifying your ownership of the account. Click the "Enter Bank Info Manually" link to manually enter your banking information.
Terms and Conditions
Please click the links to review the Bank Disclosure Page and Merchant Terms and Conditions. Click the check boxes to confirm your acceptance of the terms and to attest to the accuracy of the information you provided.
Click "Sign Up" when you are satisfied that your application is complete.
After You Apply
We will begin monitoring your application when you submit it. When your application is approved, we will link your new merchant account to your Doodlio profile so that you can begin using it to process payments right away.
We'll also get in touch if any questions or issues arise during the processing of your application.
