Send emails to your league members based on a variety of selection criteria using the Send Community Messages feature.
- Click Send Community Messages on the home page.
- Click the Start a New Message button in the upper left.
The first step is to compose your message:
- Enter a Message Title. The title will appear on the admin page after you send the message.
- Enter the message content in the editor area. If necessary, click and drag the "Text" widget from the Page Elements toolbar to the content editor and then click in the new content area to add your message.
- Click the Save Changes button to save the content of your message.
The second step is to select who should receive your message and to send it. In this case, we want to send messages to Athletic Directors or Principals in league affiliated programs.
- Click the Send Email button in the upper right.
- A list of selection criteria will appear at the top of the page.
- Click the Program Categories criteria to send messages to programs based on custom categories they have been assigned to.
- Select the recipients (Community Admins, Athletic Directors, Principals)
- Select the program categories.
- For example, if you select Principals and a single category, the message will be sent to the principals at all programs that have been assigned that category.
- Click the Programs criteria to send messages to specific programs
- Select the recipients (Community Admins, Athletic Directors, Principals)
- Select the specific programs that should receive the message.
After you have selected the program criteria and recipients:
- Enter a Mail From name. Typically you will enter your name here.
- Select the email address that the message should be "from".
- If you have not previously set up a verified email address, click the Manage Email Addresses link.
- Follow the steps to enter an email address and click the email verification link.
- Enter a Subject
- Choose when the message should be sent:
- Save my email but don't send it. Your message will be saved when you click the Save button. You can return later, select the email, and send it.
- Send it now. The message will be sent immediately when you click the Send Now button.
- Schedule it to be sent automatically at a later time. Select a date and time in the future and click Schedule Message. The system will automatically send your message at the date and time you select.
