When member completes a registration, a confirmation message is displayed on the screen. The member will also receive an automated confirmation email message. You have the ability to customize the messages displayed to the member on the screen and in the email message.
To access the custom confirmation page:
- Beneath the registration that you want to edit, click the Customize Confirmation Messages link.
Edit the on screen confirmation message
The on screen message appears after the user completes a registration. It will appear above the family statement. To edit this message, simply click in the content box and enter your message. You can use the formatting tools at the top of the content box to stylize your message.
Edit the email confirmation message
You can edit the following components of the confirmation email:
- Email subject
- From email address
- Introduction - appears above the family statement
- Signature - appears below the family statement
Email subject
Simply type in the subject line that you would like to appear on the email, for example "2023 Basketball registration confirmation"
From email address
It is strongly recommend that you set the from email address to yours or another email address from your school community. Members are less likely to think that an email is spam and are more likely to open it if it comes from a recognized email address.
Click the check box "Use a custom email address"
If you have previously verified the email address you want to use, simply select it from the drop down list.
Setting up a new email address
If you have not previously verified the email address you want to use, you will need to go through a one time verification process. Make sure that you have access to open emails sent to that address and follow these steps:
- Click the Manage Email Addresses button. A new window will open.
- At the bottom of the new window, enter the email address you want to use in the Email Address field
- If you want other administrators to be able to use this email address, click the check box "Available to all administrators"
- Click the Add button
- Check the inbox for the email address that you entered. You will receive a verification message from Amazon Web Services (Doodlio's email technology provider). Click the link in that email message to complete the verification process. When you click the link, a browser window will open. You can simply close it.
- Close the Manage Email Addresses window if it is still open
- In the email address selection list, select the email address you just added.
Email Message Introduction
The email introduction appears at the beginning of the confirmation email, above the family registration statement. Just like the on screen message above, you can use the editor enter and format your message.
Email Message Signature
The email signature appears at the end of the confirmation email, below the family registration statement.
Click the Update button to save your changes.
