Late registration fees are one way to encourage everyone to submit their registration before a certain date. You can define a fee that will automatically be applied for registrations received after a specific date.
Add a Late Fee
Example: You are setting up a sports registration for basketball and you need everyone to complete their registration by December 15 so that you know how many players you will have. You want to charge a $15 late fee for for registrations received after December 15.
- Click on Sports Management
- Click on Online Registration Management
- Click Manage Discounts and Fees
- Select the registration type that the fee applies to, such as Sports Player Registration
- Select a period. If you have not previously defined a period, you will need to start a new sports registration and click Add a Period on the registration settings.
- Select the sport the fee applies to. In the example above, you would select Basketball.
- Click on the Fees tab just below
- Click New Late Fee on the right side of the screen
- Enter a title, such as Late Fee. The title will appear on the family statement and should indicate the reason for the charge.
- Select the dollar amount option and enter the amount of the fee. In the example above, you would enter $30.
- Enter a date, representing the last day a registration can be submitted without incurring the late fee.
- Click Add Fee to save it
Parents who submit registrations after the date you entered above will see a charge on their statement in the amount you entered ($15 in this example), and the fee will be added to their total amount due. The fee will be applied for each player they register.
