Early bird discounts can be used to encourage everyone to submit their registrations as early as possible. You can define a discount that will automatically be applied for registrations received before a specific date.
Add a Late Fee
Example: You are setting up a sports registration for basketball and you want to encourage everyone to submit their registrations before December 10. You want to offer $15 discounts for registrations received before December 15.
- Click on Sports Management
- Click on Online Registration Management
- Click Manage Discounts and Fees
- Select the registration type that the discount applies to, such as Sports Player Registration
- Select a period. If you have not previously defined a period, you will need to start a new sports registration and click Add a Period on the registration settings.
- Select the sport the discount applies to. In the example above, you would select Basketball.
- Click on the Discounts tab just below
- Click New Discount by Date on the right side of the screen
- Enter a title, such as Early Bird Discount. The title will appear on the family statement and should indicate the reason for the discount.
- Select the dollar amount option and enter the amount of the discount. In the example above, you would enter $15.
- You will enter a date range, indicating that the discount will be applied to registrations received during that date range.
- Enter a start date, indicating the first day that the discount will apply to registrations submitted.
- Enter an end date, indicating the last day that the discount will apply to registrations submitted.
- Click Add Discount to save it
Parents who submit registrations within the date range you specified above will see a discount on their statement in the amount you entered ($15 in the example), and the discount will be subtracted from the total amount due. The discount will be applied to each player that they register.
