You can add players to a team from Team Management and from the Registration Submission Management screen.
Add Players from Team Management
1. Click the Sports Management link on the main dashboard or in the left menu. This will display a sports management dashboard page.
2. Click on the Manage Sports Seasons (first box).
3. Select the sport season in the left side menu.
4. Locate the team that you want to manage and click the Actions link. Select Manage.
5. A new window will appear. Click the Roster Details tab.
6. Click the Add Players button.
7. Select Lookup Registered Players. (If not using Doodlio online registration, see notes below).
8. A list of players who registered for the sport will appear. Click the check box next to each player you want to add to this team and click the Add button.
The selected players and their parents will be added to the team.
Add Players from Online Registration Submissions
1. Click the Sports Management link on the main dashboard or in the left menu. This will display a sports management dashboard page.
2. Click on the Manage Online Registration (second box).
3. Click Manage Sports Submissions (second box).
4. Select the registration in the Registration drop down.
5. Optionally filter by Grade, Gender by selecting from the drop down lists.
6. If the registration is a multi-sport registration, select the sport you want to roster from the Registration Sport drop down.
7. Click the Search button.
8. Click the Select an Action drop down and select "Add selected players to a team"
9. Select the specific team under Add to team.
10. Click the check box next to each player you want to add to the team.
11. Click the Add to Team button.
The selected players and their parents will be added to the team.
If You Don't Use Online Registration
Customers find that Doodlio online registration is the easiest and most accurate way to collect player and family information. Parents enjoy the ability to maintain their own account information, and online registration ensures their contact information is always up to date.
If your community does not use Doodlio's Online Sports Registration, you will need to manually add family accounts before you can create team rosters. Click here to learn how.
After adding families, follow steps 1 - 6 under "Add Players from Team Management" above .
7. Select Lookup Players in Member Database.
8. A default list of players will appear based on the grade and gender of the sport division.
9. Optionally change the Grade / Gender filters and click Search.
10. Click a player's name to view additional family details and verify you're adding the correct record
11. Click the check box next to each player you want to add.
12. Click the Add button.
The selected players and their parents will be added to the team.
Add a Parent, Guardian, or Other Adults to a Team
Parents and other adult family members are automatically added teams whenever a child is added. If you need to add an adult manually, follow the steps below.
Adults must be in your Member Database before they can be added to a team.
On the Manage Teams window (step 4 under Add Players from Team Management above), click the Parents tab:
1. Click on the Add Parents button in the upper right.
2. Enter the last name of the individual that you want to add. You can enter a partial name. Then click Search.
3. Click the check boxes to select each individual you want to add to the team.
4. Click the Add button to add them to your team.
