Managing Sports Family Profiles

Doodlio provides multiple ways to get complete and accurate information into your member database.

Parent Entry During Online Registration

The easiest and most effective approach is to allow your members to manage their own information as part of the registration process. Parents can create profiles for themselves, their children, and other adults in the family. Because parents enter the information, it is always up-to-date (and we prompt them to review and update their profiles during each registration).

You also have the option to allow parents to enter medical information such as allergies and special needs, emergency contact information, and can collect waivers and other forms - all of which are attached to the player's profile.

This approach has the added advantage of tying family profiles to the sports registration. This makes it easier to build and maintain team rosters and simplifies lookup and reporting of families.

Administrator Entry Using Manage Members

At any time, you can manually enter member profile information into your database using the Manage Members screen. This is obviously much slower than allowing parents to enter the information, but you do have the ability to enter all the details you need to maintain including profile information, medical, emergency contacts, and more. Data Import

 Doodlio also provides the ability to import families using comma delimited files. This approach allows you to export families from other systems, such as your school management system, and can be easier than manually entering family information. A disadvantages of this approach is that it can be technically challenging to export data into a comma delimited file. Imported data is sometimes not up-to-date, and once imported it must be maintained manually. Click here to learn more about importing family information.
